top class International Boarding
Stud

The Successful lineage!

New England Stud has belonged to the Stanley Family since 1952.
It has been managed by the present incumbent, Peter Stanley, for nearly twenty years. The stud is managed in conjunction with Stanley House Stud in Newmarket. It was here that the dual Oaks and Breeders Cup winner Ouija Board was bred by Peter for his brother Edward, the 19th Earl of Derby.

Amongst the clients are many leading European breeders.
Mares from Germany are boarded for Baron von Ullman's Schlenderhahn Stud, recent breeder of Shirocco, winner of Breeders Cup Classic in 2005.
French clients mares include Baron Edouard de Rothschild, Lady O'Reilly and Haras du Fresnay-le-Buffard.
Mares visiting from Ireland come from Swettenham Stud as well as the Lloyd Webbers' Kiltinan Stud and Rick Barnes' Grangecon Stud.

English mares that board permanently include clients such as Cliveden Stud and Sir Thomas Pilkington.
American clients include Lane's End Farm as well as Roy and Gretchan Jackson from the Lael Stables who successfully raced champion two year old Superstar Leo.

The stud includes nearly 300 acres of well sheltered and mature paddocks in the heart of Newmarket. Neighbours are the Rowley Mile Racecourse, Egerton Stud and the National Stud. The Stud is split into three distinct divisions, the main boarding stud where the mares live and foal, the yearling division which is separated by a road and also an adjacent isolation yard of some 50 acres.

The yard in the background of this photograph was moved by train from Bognor Regis in 1932 by A. Rank and reassembled here at New England.
